WELLINGTON MOBILE SUPERVISION OF YOUNG ADULTS/ SPECIAL NEEDS ADULTS – FITNESS AND MENTAL WELLNESS PROGRAM
This Wellington based mobile program is set up to help younger people (6-17) or older adults who may have certain medical conditions, like autism for example, and may be struggling socially, or physically or just not participating in any physical activity. Alternatively maybe you just want your kid to get some extra help to excell at their chosen sport.
This program will help them to become more confident, disciplined, fitter, and stronger. Also, it might be beneficial for those parents who may need their child looked after, after school, or in the holidays, but would like some extra skills integrated..
We can implement this program into schools, after school care, school holiday programs or just privately.
In todays society more and more children, and young adults, are having less real life social interactions and becoming less physical in terms of exercise, sports, etc because of the Online presence. Many kids are glued to their phones and become more introverted.
Exercise is so important for growing youths to develope correctly and be healthier in later life. Studies have shown exercise not only is great for the body and preventing diseases, but is also great for brain development.
What we do
We will engage the youth through some physical activity such as;
- Resistance training with light weights (depending on age)
- Endurance challenges such as how long can you plank or wall sit for example.
- Agility games such as; ladders time trials.
- Various sports coaching they might be interested in (cricket, basketball, boxing, softball etc)
- Mindful aspects like Yoga and Meditation to help them process things and be less reactive.
Male role models can often be missing in many kids life. If this is the case this will provide them with that social interaction and guidance which is so critical at a young age.
